Kitten Welfare
We take the welfare of our kittens very seriously. Here is a small introduction of how KittenZenYoga ensure everyone has a wonderful experience with the kittens, but also reassuring that the kittens are safely taken care of during our yoga classes.
Before every yoga session, there is a short talk on the safe handling of the kittens. We provide food, water, a toilet and toys to play with. This is clearly stated on our FAQ page. And we keep the yoga sessions short, so that the kittens are not subjected to an unnecessarily long playtime.
During the yoga session itself, we remind participants that they must only touch the kittens if the kitten approaches them first. If the kitten decides to sleep during the session, the kitten must be left alone and awake themselves. No human interaction is allowed.
For the period of time that the kittens do interact with humans, it all helps with the kittens socialising skills, getting them ready for the next stage of their life.
The kittens attending classes will almost all already have found their forever home and would not be for sale. In those few cases where a kitten does not yet have a forever home, we may choose to let the yoga participants know and even then, we carefully vet any potential homes in the same strict way that we do with all of our kittens.
