Frequently Asked Questions
When are tickets released?
Tickets are released as soon as we have a date booked for the venue. You are welcome to buy tickets as soon as you like.
Do I have to be an expert at yoga to attend?
No. The yoga instructor will be vigilant to all levels of ability. The aim is to give you time with the kittens whilst relaxing.
Where do the kittens come from?
The kittens are provided from private collections of enthusiasts. Our kittens are top quality, which you’ll notice as soon as you stroke their fur!
Are the kittens up for sale?
If you wish to purchase a kitten, they may be for sale. Please approach the instructor or info@kittenzenyoga.co.uk
What breed will be joining us?
We are able to draw on different breeds, but we mostly host British Short Hairs, which like to interact with humans.
Do your pets get to rest between the classes?
Yes. They rest for quarter of an hour. Depending on the time of day, they may take naps during the session, just like humans! If a cat wishes to sleep (though they are usually too curious for that), we let them do so.
What is the difference between Play and Cuddle sessions and Family Yoga session with Kittens?
Play and Cuddle sessions do not include a yoga instructor and there is no minimum age limit when attending these sessions.
A family yoga is a normal yoga class for up to 15 people, with an instructor, where younger children from 9 years old and their parents can attend the class.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
You will not need to bring a yoga mat, but if you prefer your own, please do!
How do you make the session safe for the kittens?
We give a short talk before the session begins on the safe handling of the kittens. The kittens are provided with food, water, a place to toilet themselves and of course toys with which you can play with the kittens. It’s important that you come on time to hear the safety brief.
How many people do you have per class?
15 is our maximum. We aim to provide 5 kittens per session. Ages of kittens may vary, since the younger kittens are cuter, but the elder ones more playful.
Benefits for the kittens?
The kittens benefit from interaction of new surroundings and people who stimulate their curiosity, enabling them to adapt to their eventual owners.
What is your cancellation policy?
Once a ticket is sold, it is sold, but if you cannot attend, you can pass it on to someone else who might enjoy the experience. If for whatever reason we have to cancel a session, you’ll be fully refunded.
How old do I have to be to attend?
Adults only classes are 18+.
For the Family Stretch & Relaxation classes, anyone 12+ can attend. If below, 18 you’ll need a paying adult there too.
How do I use my gift card voucher ?
When booking a class, you simply choose the option to pay by gift card, rather than credit or debit card.

Do you offer a waiting list ?
We do not offer a waiting list feature for our sessions, as the class sizes are pre-defined long in advance, and attendees rarely cancel.
We are looking into managing a mailing list where we can notify you of new classes that have opened.
Please keep an eye out on our Instagram, where we notify if any places become available due to last minute cancellations.
Do I need any yoga experience or bring a yoga mat when attending a yoga with kittens class ?
We welcome participants with any kind of yoga experience, even if it is none ! It is a gentle relaxing environment, and you will soon pick things up.
We will supply the yoga mats for the session, so there is nothing in particular to bring along.
In terms of clothing, wear something relaxing, that you can easily stretch in.
If I am attending a family with kittens class with my child(ren), do I need to buy a separate ticket for each of us ?
Yes, you must buy a separate ticket for adults and children attending. We do not allow parents to sit in the class and watch.
What if I have accessibility issues when attending a session at one of your locations ?
We would recommend adding a note to the booking so that we are aware which session you are coming to. Look out for the Add Your Message box and add some details here.
If you need to bring a carer with you, you will not need to purchase a separate ticket for that carer.
How often do you update the booking sections with additional sessions ?
Classes are set up dependant upon kitten availability.
Please keep popping back to our website or Instagram account to see the current bookings that are open.
Do you offer private yoga with kittens class ?
Yes, we would be more than happy to work with you to arrange a private class. Each session can be up to a maximum of 15 people and is dependent upon kitten availability.
We can arrange a class in either of our regular locations or in a different suitable location.
Please inquire via our contact form, Instagram or email and we can provide a quotation.
To secure kittens for a private class, you will need to pay a 30% deposit at the time of booking (bank transfer is our preferred option) and the balance 1 week before the class.
